According to Gallup, 32% of Americans do not keep a detailed household budget. This fact combined with the average household debt level of $135K makes me even more motivated to get the word out about the absolute FREEDOM that budgeting can bring you. I mean, jump for joy, loving money freedom.

All of this data tells me that most likely, if you’re reading this article, you’re looking for ways to become motivated or stay motivated to better manage your money, whether it be because you’re behind on bills, because you want to make a career change, or just because want to create a secure financial future for your family.

I decided to unpack and discover why I was so afraid to become a stay at home mom and to live on one income.

That’s great! I was in the same boat not too long ago! I get it, I worked full time until my oldest was 4 years old! And I dreamed of the day I’d be able to stay home with my kids because it seemed like I never got to see them.
